Welcome

The Neurological and Electrodiagnostic Institute of St. Louis, located in West County, is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art electrodiagnostic testing to help your health care provider evaluate, diagnose and treat your neurological condition. Our goal is to provide clear and clinically relevant diagnostic guidance for each patient and referring provider. Actually, you are not just “having a test.” You are being evaluated by a board-certified neurologist with specialty training in nerve and muscle disorders. We are among the few independent practices in the nation that are fully accredited by the AANEM with exemplary status. Some of the common conditions we evaluate are:

  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Ulnar neuropathy / Cubital tunnel syndrome
  • Radial neuropathy / Radial tunnel syndrome
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Tarsal tunnel syndrome
  • Brachial plexopathy
  • Thoracic outlet syndrome
  • Cervical / Lumbar radiculopathy (pinched nerve in neck or back, “sciatica”)
  • Numbness/tingling in the hands or feet
  • Sports injuries - Dr. Phillips is the electrodiagnostic consult to the St. Louis Cardinals
  • Traumatic nerve injuries including pre-operative planning for nerve repair and post-operative follow-up
  • ALS / motor neuron disease
  • Muscle disease (myopathy)

We welcome you as a patient and appreciate the opportunity to participate in your neurological care. Our doctors and staff strive to provide a comfortable and caring environment, and to ease any anxieties or concerns you may have about the testing procedures.

Our doctors accept same-day referrals for nerve conduction studies, and will fax your doctor and narrative report of our findings typically on the same day or within 24 hours of your test.

Why have your test performed by a certified physician at an accredited lab?

Does it really matter where I have AANEM Accredited Laboratory Exemplary Statusmy nerve test done?

Electro-diagnostic studies play a very important role in diagnosing nerve and muscle disorders. The most important step in medical care is making the correct diagnosis because all treatments, including surgeries, are based upon the diagnosis.
